The Khotwa Scholarship Program supports UAE Nationals to start their studies at a community college abroad and then transfer to a university to complete their bachelor’s degree. The program promotes academic growth, cultural immersion, and personal development.

Eligibility and Application


Yes, approved students will be reimbursed for visa expenses.
Eligible applicantts must be UAE Nationals with an Abu Dhabi Family Book, have at least a 60% average in Grades 11 and 12, an IELTS score of 3.5+, completed National Service (for males), and be open to a homestay experience.
Yes, you can edit your application until the deadline by logging into your Khotwa profile.
No, applying to the Khotwa program is free.

Bootcamp and Assessment


The bootcamp is mandatory for shortlisted applicants. It includes assessments, interviews, and orientations to prepare students for their academic journey.
Expect academic and behavioural assessments, interviews, and an overview of program expectations. Review your bootcamp invitation for details.

Pre-Departure Preparation


Pre-departure preparation takes place from April to June. It includes language support, cultural orientation, and logistical preparation to ensure students are ready for their studies abroad.
Students need valid identification, visa documents, acceptance letters, and medical records. A checklist of documents will be provided.
Yes, housing is confirmed before departure, and students will have contact information for their host family and college representatives.
Students should carry local currency for initial expenses. Budgeting guidance is provided during orientation.

English Proficiency


Yes, a TOEFL iBT score of 31 or higher can be used instead of IELTS.
